Katie Galaz earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 2005. Upon graduation, she worked with individuals with disabilities at Middle Tennessee State University for four years until she started working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. She also runs a part-time photography business, Florence Photography, and focuses on portraitures. She and her husband own the business 3.14 Creative Enterprises, LLC, a special event production and merchandising company. The company includes a custom promo item service known as Power Merch, a record label named Muddy Roots Music Recordings, and hosts local vintage wine train excursions and music festivals in Cookeville, TN, Nashville, TN, Nashville, IN, Belgium, & Brazil. Katie and her husband purchased their first home, a historic 1930s craftsman, in 2012. Katie has been a Historic Nashville Marketing Committee member since 2014 and Secretary since 2015. When she and her husband are not working they enjoy traveling, collecting antiques, seeing live shows, and hanging out with their two rescue dogs.
